As a wedding photographer, I spend most of my weekends photographing at various venues, and trust me, there are PLENTY to choose from in the Texas Hill Country. The Texas Hill Country is home to some of the most beautiful and diverse wedding venues in the country, offering everything from modern architectural estates to rustic oak-filled ranch landscapes. As a luxury wedding photographer serving San Antonio, Austin, and the surrounding Hill Country, these are ten of my favorite venues to photograph for their beauty, light, and overall wedding experience:

1. Mae’s Ridge
Mae’s Ridge offers sweeping Hill Country views, modern architecture, and unforgettable sunset portraits. It’s a dream location for couples wanting a clean, elevated aesthetic with natural Texas scenery. If you are looking for clean, modern elegance with a touch of nature, consider looking into Mae’s ridge for you wedding venue! Not to mention, everything is so close together, including a bridal suite and grooms suite that are separate from the ceremony and reception spot.

2. Milestone New Braunfels
A modern farmhouse-style venue with wide open spaces and beautiful indoor-outdoor flow. Milestone is perfect for couples who want a refined but relaxed celebration. If you are still wanting a hint of rustic blended with contemporary, this venue is for you! Again, everything is close to each other and there is no shortage of beautiful portraits spots!

3. The Preserve at Canyon Lake
Nestled in nature with lake views and peaceful surroundings, this venue is ideal for couples who want a romantic outdoor setting with dramatic scenery. If your dream is to have an overhead shot of you walking down the aisle with a dramatic train, let me tell ya, BOOK THIS VENUE (and also make sure you add on a second shooter to your wedding photography package!)

4. Hudson Bend Ranch
Located near Austin, Hudson Bend Ranch offers waterfront views and golden light that photographs beautifully at sunset, especially for romantic, western-style weddings. Hudson bend reminds me of an elegant cottage with brick and stone in every corner. Like you are frolicking through the gardens in front of a beautiful cottage! So many green spaces to take photos of here as well!

A charming New Braunfels venue with elegant interiors and Texas Hill Country character, perfect for timeless and classic wedding imagery. A staple in Gruene, you really can’t go wrong! And the chapel itself is simply beautiful!!

6. The Chapel at Gruene
Intimate, romantic, and full of charm, this chapel is perfect for couples looking for a traditional ceremony space with a warm, historic feel. Another beautiful white chapel with a bit more contemporary reception space options compared to the Chandelier.

7. Geronimo Oaks
A rustic Hill Country venue surrounded by oak trees and wide open fields, ideal for couples wanting a natural, golden-hour-filled wedding day. True cabin feel with all of the dark wood, so make sure you have a photographer who is experienced with shooting in that environment!

This venue blends rustic Texas landscapes with elegant event spaces, offering plenty of variety for both candid and editorial-style photography. Not to mention the cactus, Marfa-vibes this place has!!
