A Dreamy Engagement Session at Mustang Island, Port Aransas

There’s something about the Texas coast that feels effortlessly romantic. Mustang Island, nestled between Corpus Christi and Port Aransas, gave us the most magical backdrop for this engagement session. With soft white sand, turquoise water, and skies that turned cotton-candy pink at sunset, it felt less like Texas and more like a hidden destination getaway.

We started the session barefoot in the sand, letting the ocean breeze set the tone. The waves rolled in gently, and the laughter between these two was so natural that I barely had to direct them. Mustang Island has a way of slowing everything down—you can hear the seagulls, feel the salty air, and suddenly the only thing that matters is being fully present with the person you love.

As the sun dipped lower, we wandered along the shoreline, capturing sweet candid moments: twirls in the surf, quiet hand-holding, and stolen kisses framed by the endless horizon. By the time the sky shifted into a blend of lavender and gold, it felt like the island had put on its own private show just for us.

Mustang Island is quickly becoming one of my favorite coastal spots for engagement sessions. It’s tucked away enough to feel intimate, yet close enough to Port Aransas for a little celebratory dinner afterwards (because what’s an engagement session without tacos and margaritas to end the night?).

If you’re dreaming of engagement photos that feel both romantic and adventurous, Mustang Island is the perfect canvas. Between the sweeping dunes, vibrant skies, and wide-open shoreline, it’s a place where love truly takes center stage.
